We were impressed with Bolshoy's willingness to work when we backed him last year as a two year old. He quickly moved through everything asked of him and calmly accepted the saddle and bridle. His movement is what we expected from his Donnatelli/ Jet Set breeding, a powerful walk with great over track, a free uphill trot, a canter with power from the back. He has great potential as a dressage horse but also as a hunter. He showed good form over cross rails and his pedigree on both sides has lots of "Jump". Donnatelli was very successfully shown as a hunter in his final year. Bolshoy should finish 16.3 to 17 hands.

Bolshoy is a dark brown, expressive colt. He has a cooperative attitude and has a wonderful trot and he is developing into a dressage expert.His sire, Donatelli is showing Grand Prix dressage and has two approved sons in Europe.Donatelli is by the excellent breeding stallion Donnerhall, who combined a sports career at Grand Prix level ridden by Karin Rehbein with a remarkable breeding performance, including more than 40 approved sons. Donatelli's damsire is the stallion Pik Bube I, also known as a stallion producing dressage horses.

His dam, Waltzelina is sired by Jet Set who is sired by Zirkoon and is the sire of Orlando who represented Holland at the World Championship for Young Horses. Jet Set has sired winning dressage horses world wide.
