KWPN 19-04-2004 CHESTNUT
This cross has produced a powerful moving filly. She showed us good use of her hind legs with lots of movement in front. We see a filly with the power of Burggraaf and the lightness and quickness of Hoffnar. We are told always the Burggraaf needs some Thoroughbred in his mares and this mare brings that breeding.
Zijde Roos is from the same mare as Village Rose who is a Rilke/Hofnar and who we were pleased to sell to the Atlantic Dressage Development Center, where she is showing the floating trot of Hofnar and has the lightness and the good mind of Rilke. Rose was sold as a two year old.
The mare line from Bosh has produced approved stallions in both dressage and jumping. This is our fourth purchase from this mare line and we have always been pleased with the way the foals develop.
Burggraaf (1.73 m) is a powerful show jumper who also has at least two grand prix dressage sons, Floijn and Louisville. Burggraaf has cleared 2.10 m in competition and has many approved sons and a huge number of offspring jumping successfully. He is the product of the cross between the Holsteiner Landgraf I and Cor de la Bryere. Burggraaf has a high jumping index of 152.
The dressage line is further strengthened by Cocktail in the next generation.
Zijde Roos could make a powerful jumper, a high level dressage horse or a great broodmare
