Each year we import several colts for resale. Our criteria for selecting these colts requires that they come from lines which have produced high quality sport horses. We select colts which show the type of movement required for dressage competition but with strong jumping pedigrees ... ending up with potential jumpers having a high level of dressage in their pedigree.
Quattro (1.69 m ) is himself a great show jumper with many successful jumping and dressage offspring. Quattro has more than 10 approved sons ... Quantum Tyme is a successful grand prix dressage son here in Canada. We saw Quattro at Nijhof's and were impressed with his rhythmic movement. This movement is passed on to his offspring. Combined with the ability of Quattro offspring to be "up in front" made this colt an obvious choice.
The mare sire is Cavalier. (1.69 m) who has had a very successful career under Franke Sloothaak. Cavalier has won at Grand-Prix speed and Puissance. He has a long list of winning offspring ridden by some of the world's best riders. We liked this keur mare's movement very much. The grand sire is the jumping stallion Le Mexico. We also saw a full sister of Zandman. She is a very well developed two year old with movement which would take you far in the dressage ring.
