KWPN Born 04-29-2003 Chestnut
This filly shows the lightness in her movements inherited from her sire. Whitney has a powerful trot showing great use of her hind legs. Her breeding brings together many of the great Dutch equine athletes Idocus, Voltaire, Cocktail, Purioso and Burggraaf. We have two yearling granddaughters from this breeding line ... an Idocus/Quattro and a Rilkie/Hofnar who are showing great athletic ability.
The sire Idocus was first approved by the NA-WPN earning high marks for both dressage and jumping. In dressage he earned the highest score ever given in the North American Dutch Keurings. Many of his offspring have been successful in North America. Idocus is now back in Europe and is now stabled at Johann Hinnemans and being shown very successfully by Marlies van Baalen at Grand Prix with winning scores up to 75%. In Warendorf we watched Idocus show his wonderful lightness in all movements.
The dam is sired by Cocktail. Cocktail, keur preferent, was shown to an incredible number of grand prix wins by Anky van Grusven. Cocktail is the sire of many dressage stallions including Jazz.
The next dam sire is Burggraaf, the great jumping sire.
