Rose's four white socks accent her floating trot. She is quick to move and also inherits a powerful canter from the jumping sires in her pedigree.
Village Rose is sired by the bay stallion Rilke. Rilke stabled at Johann Hinnemanns, by Ritual passed his stallion test at Warrendorf in 1998 and is showing successfully at M level ridden by Martin Stommkotter. Ritual, son of G Rmairo Z, has had an exemplary career and his offspring demonstrate outstanding jumping ability as well as talent in the dressage ring.

We bought Rose from Gebr Bosch where all the mares descend from one foundation mare which has produced a line of solid breeders. The dam is the keur mare Natchrose by the black stallion, Hofnar known for his breath taking movements. Hofnar is by Rex Magna xx and out of the keur preferent mare Dakina who is by the preferent Amor. Hofnar sired Natcho the winner of the 2000 Pavo Cup finals and Nostradamus runner up Pavo Cup finals. Hofnar now stands at Fairwind Farm in California. The grandam is the keur mare Ilamara who is by Cocktail, keur preferent.
